RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #26-733-8 with Rebecca Vesely, an individual, in an amount not to exceed $110,000 to provide consulting and technical writing assistance for improvement projects at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers (CCRMC) for the period from August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In May 2015, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #26-733-6 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-733-7) with Rebecca Vesley, an individual, for the provision of consulting and technical writing assistance for improvement projects at CCRMC, for the period from August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016. Approval of Contract #26-733-8 will allow Contractor to continue providing consulting and technical writing assistance to CCRMC for improvement projects including Public Hospital Redesign and Incentives in Medical Program (PRIME) project and Medicare Waiver 2020 “Whole Person Care” program through July 31, 2017.


CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Contractor will not provide consulting and technical writing services to CCRMC.
