BACKGROUND:

In July 1947, Contra Costa County (County) received an Offer of Dedication (Dedication) of a roadway over a portion of Assessor’s Parcel Numbers (APN’s) 198-074-003 and 198-073-003, La Serena Court, Alamo area. The Dedication was included on the Map entitled “Alamo Villa Estates”, filed in Map Book 33, Page 34, in the Office of the County Clerk-Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, State of California. La Serena Court was accepted as a County road by the Board of Supervisors on March 20, 1950 and recorded March 22, 1950.

The owners of APN’s 198-074-003 and 198-073-003 have requested a vacation of a certain portion of excess County right of way that runs along their parcels be vacated.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County would be responsible for the maintenance of an area that is not required for roadway purposes.
