RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #76-549 with Yana Wirengard, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $400,000 to provide general surgery services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-549, the Contractor will provide general surgery services, including clinic coverage, surgical procedures, on-call and administrative support services, through June 30, 2017.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring general surgery services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services.
