RECOMMENDATION(S):

AUTHORIZE the discharge from accountability for the account of Home Solutions 4 You (Diana Wilde) totaling $403.43, which has been deemed uncollectible because the cost of recovery is excessive.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The account to be discharged totals $403.43. This past due amount is for services the Department of Information Technology provided during 2014. 100% General Fund.

BACKGROUND:

The department attempted to collect this account multiple times, but is still unable to collect. The responsible party states that the file sent was unusable for her needs. The department requests a discharge from accountability.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Department of Information Technology will continue to carry the uncollectible account on the books, thereby overstating the receivables.
