RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPOINT Ms. Kristin Haegeland as the Pinole Local Committee representative on the Advisory Council on Aging as recommended by the Pinole Advisory Council and the Employment and Human Services Department Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Not applicable.

BACKGROUND:

Ms. Haegeland was recommended by the Pinole Advisory council. Ms. Haegeland resides in Pinole, CA. This seat is currently vacant. The term ends September 30, 2016.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

The Advisory Council on Aging provides county-wide planning, cooperation, and coordination of individuals and groups interested in providing and developing services and opportunities for the older residents of the county. The Council provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and serves as a channel of communication and information on aging.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging may be unable to conduct routine business.
