RECOMMENDATION(S):

DECLARE and ACCEPT the results of the June 7, 2016 Primary Election as recommended by the County Clerk-Recorder-Registrar; and DECLARE the candidates elected shown on the attached report and on file in the Contra Costa Elections Division for the June 7, 2016 Primary Election.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Elections Code 15372 requires Elections Official to prepare a Certified Statement of Results of the election and submit it to the Governing Body within 30 days of the election. A certified Statement of Votes is attached to this Board Order.

Elections Code 15400 requires the Governing Body to declare elected to each office, the person who was elected.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

These candidates will not be sworn in, as provided for by law.
