FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100%by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

For a number of years, the County has contracted with Medical and Dental Specialists to provide specialized medical services. On May 13, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-748-1 (as amended by Contract Amendments #26-748-2 and #26-748-3) with Mauricio Kuri, M.D., for the provision of plastic surgery care at CCRMC, for the period July 15, 2014 through June 30, 2015. Approval of Contract #26-748-4 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide plastic surgery care, including clinic coverage, consulting, training and medical and/or surgical procedures services at CCRMC, through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
