RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order with Access Hardware, in an amount not to exceed $210,000, for hardware and lock supplies, for the period of August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2017, Countywide. (100% General Fund).

FISCAL IMPACT:

This cost is to be funded through Public Works' Fiscal Year 2015/16 and 2016/17 Facilities Services budget. (100% General Fund)

BACKGROUND:

Facilities Services maintains all County buildings. Door frames, closures, hinges, and latch bars are a part of this maintenance. As bid on Bidsync #1207-005, Access Hardware was the lowest responsive vendor for this commodity. To complete the two-year term, Public Works is requesting a purchase order for $210,000.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this agreement is not approved, then purchasing hardware and lock supplies through Access Hardware will discontinue.
