RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT resignation of Edward Schroth, DECLARE a vacancy in Member at Large Seat No. 11 on the Advisory Council on Aging, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None

BACKGROUND:

Mr. Schroth was reappointed to the the Advisory Council on Aging on December 3, 2013 with a term ending September 30, 2015.  
  







BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
The Advisory Council on Aging advises the Board of Supervisors (acting as the Area Agency on Aging) and the Aging and Adult Services Bureau of the Employment and Human Services Department on all matters related to the development, operation, and administration of the annual Area Agency Plan. The Council provides a means for Countywide planning, cooperation and coordination for individuals and groups interested in improving and developing services and opportunities for the County's older residents.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging will be unable to fill this position.
