RECOMMENDATION(S):

RESCIND Traffic Resolution No. 2005/4122; and, ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2015/4428 to prohibit parking at all times (red curb) on the south side of Mayhew Way (Road No. 4054J), beginning at a point 345 feet east of the centerline of Woodlawn Drive (Road No. 4057AT) and extending easterly a distance of 50 feet, Pleasant Hill area.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Rescinding Traffic Resolution No. 2005/4122 is at the request of the Contra Costa County Transportation Authority (County Connection), as they no longer use Mayhew Way as a bus route. The bus stop sign was removed in 2009.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

The adoption of this Traffic Resolution will improve sight lines for vehicles approaching the Iron Horse Trail crossing, and for bicyclists and pedestrians on the Iron Horse Trail who cross Mayhew Way.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Sightlines for motorists and trail users will not be improved.
