On April 11, 2014, the applicant submitted an application (County File #VR14-1021) requesting approval of a variance to the side yard, aggregate side yard, and front setbacks, to build a raised driveway, raised entry path, and residence on the vacant lot located at 200 Sydney Drive in Alamo. Included in the variance was a request to remove (1) one Valley Oak and work within the drip lines of (4) four Coast Live Oaks.
Today's appeal hearing was originally scheduled for the April 21, 2015 Board of Supervisors Meeting. However, prior to the hearing, during the pre-hearing meeting between the appellants and the applicant, the applicant agreed to revise the house design and submit a new variance for the revised design, while holding County File #VR14-1021 open, and continuing the appeal hearing until the variance for the revised design was processed.
On June 8, 2015, the applicant submitted a variance application for the revised design, County File #VR15-1026.
On June 10, 2015, a Notice of Intent to Render an Administrative Decision for VR15-1026 was sent to properties within 300 feet of the subject property. No letters were received during the 10-day public comment period.
On June 24, 2015, County File #VR15-1026 was administratively approved, and the permit signed by the Zoning Administrator. No appeals letters were received during the 10-day appeal period following the approval.
On July 7, 2015 the variance permit became effective.
On July 8, 2015 the Applicant submitted a letter requesting the withdrawal of County File #VR14-1021.
On July 13, 2015 all three Appellants submitted letters requesting the withdrawal of their appeals of the County Planning Commission's decision on County File #VR14-1021.
The withdrawal of the application and the appeals would not be acknowledged.
