RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT a report from the Fire Chief providing an update on the ongoing annexation feasibility analysis.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no impact relative to receiving this update.

BACKGROUND:

In the fall of 2020, we began a process to study the feasibility of annexing the Rodeo-Hercules Fire Protection District and the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District into the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. This action is to receive an update on the preliminary findings of the study with a review of the steps taken to date and anticipated timelines for the remainder of the study moving forward.
