RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, or designee, to execute an agreement with the City of San Pablo regarding stormwater facility operation and maintenance and right of entry at the Fire Station No. 70 property located at 1800 23rd Street, San Pablo, California.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (District) will incur ongoing maintenance costs associated with stormwater on the Fire Station 70 site.

BACKGROUND:

The Fire Station 70 (San Pablo) relocation project is in its final phases. The station is open and 911 calls are being dispatched from the new facility. The new station includes stormwater discharge facilities that will require future maintenance and inspection by the City of San Pablo. Staff has worked with the City of San Pablo to develop this convenant in connection with the overall construction project and in compliance with the conditions of approval. The recording of this convenant is a final step in compliance with these regulations.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The District would be in violation of the terms and conditions of the building/development permit.
