APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #74-475-152 with Bay Area Therapy Group A Marriage and Family Counseling Corp., a professional corporation, in an amount not to exceed $250,000 to provide Medi-Cal specialty mental health services, for the period from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Approval of this contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $250,000 over a 2-year period and will be funded 50% by Federal Medi-Cal ($125,000) and 50% by State Mental Health Realignment funding ($125,000).

BACKGROUND:

Responsibility for outpatient specialty mental health services involves contracts with individual, group and organizational providers to deliver these services. This is the first contract with this contractor.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

The recommendation supports the following children’s outcomes: (4) Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing; and (5) Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families.
