RECOMMENDATION(S):

REAPPOINT Samuel Houston to the Low-Income Seat No. 1 on the Economic Opportunity Council (EOC) as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Department Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Reappoint Samuel Houston to the Low-Income Seat No. 1 on the EOC with a term ending June 30, 2023 as recommended by the EOC on May 13, 2021. He was appointed to the Seat, March 21, 2017.
The EOC is a tripartite board to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and Employment and Human Services Department, Community Services Bureau for County administration of the Community Services Block Grant.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The EOC may not be able to conduct routine business.
