RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Denise Clarke, DECLARE a vacancy in the Consumer 2 - Central/South County seat on the Local Planning and Advisory Council for Early Care and Education (LPC), and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Contra Costa County Office of Education.

BACKGROUND:

The incumbent resigned upon taking a new position with the Contra Costa County Office of Education. The term for this seat expires on April 20, 2022.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

The mission of the Contra Costa County Local Planning and Advisory Council for Early Care and Education (LPC) is to promote quality childcare through community assessment, advocacy, resource development, and collaboration with other organizations. The LPC coordinates programs and services affecting early child care and education, including recommendations for the allocation of Federal Funds to local early child care and education programs.
