RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chief Information Officer, Department of Information Technology, or designee, to execute a contract with CDW-G Government, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $35,000 to provide a rate study analysis, for the period of June 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The cost for this contract is within the Department of Information Technology’s budget. (100% General Fund).

BACKGROUND:

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is interested in reviewing its current and long-standing process of allocating and recovering costs for the services provided to internal and external customers. The current practice has been in place for many years and the department wants to explore best practices and new methodologies to streamline and automate the process of developing rates and charging customers.

The contract includes a modification to the Limitation of Liability section of the General Conditions which caps liability of the Contractor from any cause that does not exceed the dollar amount paid by the County.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this agreement is not approved, DoIT will continue with the current way of developing customer rates.
