RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPOINT LaTonia Peoples-Stokes to the Private/Non-Profit Alternative Seat and REAPPOINT Monisha Merchant to the Private/Non-Profit Seat No. 4 on the Economic Opportunity Council (EOC) as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Appoint Latonia Peoples-Stokes to the Private/Non-Profit Alternative Seat on the Economic Opportunity Council (EOC) with a term ending June 30, 2023 as approved by the EOC March 13, 2021.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Reappoint Monisha Merchant to the Private/Non-Profit Seat No. 4 on the EOC with a term expiring June 30, 2023 as approved by the EOC April 2021. Monisha Merchant was appointed to the Seat January 2019.

The EOC is a tripartite advisory board to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and Employment and Human Services Department, Community Services Bureau for County administration of the Community Services Block Grant.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The EOC may not be able to conduct routine business.
