RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE amendments to add the Head Start Policy Council members to the List of Designated Positions of the Conflict of Interest Code of the Employment and Human Services Department ("EHSD").

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

EHSD has amended the List of Designated Positions of its Conflict of Interest Code and submitted the revised List of Designated Positions, attached as Exhibit A, to the Board of Supervisors for approval pursuant to Government Code sections 87306 and 87306.5.

The recommended change includes the addition of the Head Start Policy Council members as positions designated to file conflict of interest statements. This change will provide that the Head Start Policy Council will be part of EHSD's Conflict of Interest Code. A red-lined version of the List of Designated Positions is included as Exhibit B.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

None.
