RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Contra Costa Family Justice Alliance, in an amount not to exceed $642,993, to provide services for victims of interpersonal violence and their families for the period July 1, 2021 through September 30, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract will increase department expenditures by $642,993 to be funded 73% with County General Funds and 27% Grant Funds.  

BACKGROUND:

This contract is to ensure delivery of effective services for victims of interpersonal violence through a coordinated client-centered, multidisciplinary service model. Contra Costa Family Justice Alliance provides support and assistance to increase the safety and empowerment of families within the county experiencing interpersonal violence and to coordinate access to multiple service providers and achieve specific measured outcomes.




CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Employment and Human Services Department will be unable to provide valuable services to victims of interpersonal violence.  

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

This contract supports three of the five of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes: (3) “Families that are Economically Self-Sufficient” (4) "Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and (5)"Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families” by providing a safe environment where families affected by interpersonal violence can receive appropriate support and follow-up services.
