RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chief Information Officer, Department of Information Technology, or designee, to execute Amendment No.1 to the City of Vallejo’s Radio Communications Agreement to increase the payment limit by $200,000 to a new payment limit of $250,000 for the period of April 2020 until terminated.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The agreement with the City of Vallejo generates revenue for the Telecommunications Division of the Department of Information Technology (DoIT).

BACKGROUND:

DoIT’s Telecommunications Division has provided the City of Vallejo with professional telecommunications and related services since April 2020. The original agreement capped the payment limit at $50,000. Due to the excellent customer service and the professionalism of the Radio Division staff, the City of Vallejo requested that the payment limit be increased by $200,000 so they can continue to the utilize the services provided by DoIT.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this agreement is not approved, the Telecommunications Division will not receive revenue and the City of Vallejo will be negatively impacted.
