RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #76-738 with Pacific Skin Institute, a General Partnership, in an amount not to exceed $220,000, to provide dermatology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) for the period from May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Approval of this contract will result in annual contractual expenditures of up to $220,000 and will be funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.

BACKGROUND:

This contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing dermatology services due to the limited number of specialty providers available within the community, CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers rely on contracts to provide necessary specialty health services to their patients.

Under new Contract #76-738, this contractor will provide dermatology services at CCRMC though April 30, 2022.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, the County will not be able to provide dermatology services to CCRMC patients through this contractor.
