RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute, on behalf of County Contract #27-169-17 with Lifelong Medical Care, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $4,000,000, to provide immediate urgent care and specialty medical services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) Members, for the period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 11, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-169-16 with Lifelong Medical Care for the provision of primary care, urgent care and specialty medical services to CCHP members, for the period July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #27-169-17 will allow Contractor to continue to provide primary care, urgent care and specialty medical services through June 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services will not be provided.
