RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #76-585-3 with MGA Healthcare, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $800,000, to provide temporary medical staffing services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers for the period from June 1, 2019 through November 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

Approval of Contract #76-585-3 will allow the Contractor to provide temporary radiology technicians, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, pharmacy technicians, and permanent placement recruitment services at CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers to provide coverage during peak loads, temporary absences and emergencies through November 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, patients at CCRMC and Health Centers will not have access to Contractor’s services.
