RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #27-252-7 with Bruce R. Carlton, M.D., Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $350,000, to provide dermatology services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On July 18, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-252-6 with Bruce R. Carlton, M.D., Inc. to provide dermatology services to CCHP members for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #27-252-7 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide dermatology services through June 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, CCHP members will not be provided certain specialized health care services included under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County.
