RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #76-644 with Steris Corporation, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $262,212, to provide repair and maintenance of infection prevention equipment for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Center, for the period from June 1, 2019 through May 31, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-644 the Contractor will provide repair and maintenance services for infection prevention equipment at CCRMC and Health Centers for the period from June 1, 2019 through May 31, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, CCHP members and county recipients would not have access to the Contractor's services, which may result in a reduction in the overall levels of health care service to the community.
