RECOMMENDATION(S):

DECLARE Angela de Fremery a Boardmember "Appointed in Lieu of Election" for the August 27, 2019 Special Election to the Knightsen Town Community Services District effective June 18, 2019 for a term ending December 31, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None

BACKGROUND:

Elections Code section 10515 requires that candidates who filed for an office for which the number of candidates is equal to or less than the number required to be elected, be "Appointed in Lieu of Election" by the Board of Supervisors as if they were elected.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Boardmember will not be sworn in as provided by law.
