RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-094-1 with Sharon de Edwards, M.D., FACOG, a sole proprietor, in an amount not to exceed $500,000, to provide obstetrics and gynecology services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II.

BACKGROUND:

On July 18, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #77-094 with Sharon de Edwards, M.D., FACOG, for the provision of obstetrics and gynecology services for CCHP members for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019.

Approval of Contract #77-094-1, the Contractor will provide obstetrics and gynecology services through June 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, CCHP members will not receive the benefits of obstetrics and gynecology services from the Contractor.
