Government Code Section 53646 requires the County Treasurer to prepare quarterly reports to the Board of Supervisors describing County investments including type, par value, cost, and market value. Attached please find the report covering the period January 1, 2019 through March 31, 2019. As of March 31, 2019, the par value, cost, and market value of Contra Costa County Investment Pool were $3,724,111,094.19, $3,705,990,210.95, and $3,714,709,510.44, respectively. The weighted yield to maturity was 2.48% and the weighted average days to maturity were 173 days. As of March 31, 2019, the Treasurer’s investment portfolio was in compliance with Government Code 53600 et. seq. and with the Treasurer’s current investment policy. Historical activities combined with future cash flow projections indicate that the County has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations for the next six months.
