RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #26-552-8 with Bailey T. Lee, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $376,000, to provide radiology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 14, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-552-7 with Bailey T. Lee, M.D., for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019, to provide radiology services for patients at CCRMC including consultation, on-call coverage, supervision and interpretation of Computed Tomography Scans, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasounds, invasive procedures and plain films.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #26-552-8 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide radiology services, through June 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Contractor will be unable to provide radiology services to patients at CCRMC and Health Centers.
