RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #23-478-13 with Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $4,390,000 to provide consultation, system planning and project management for the Health Services Department's information systems for the period July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On September 12, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23–478-12 with Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc. for the provision of consultation, technical support, training, and project management to the Health Services Information Systems Unit for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 1, 2018.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #23–478–13 will allow the contractor to continue to provide support, training and consulting services to the Department's information systems, including the Behavioral Health billing system and Contra Costa Health Plan's Utilization Review and Hospital billing system through June 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, the Health Services Department's Information Systems Unit will not receive the contractor’s specialized consultation and technical assistance.
