RECOMMENDATION(S):

DENY claims filed by Geico, a subrogee of Kim Summers, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Milestone Diversified Group, LLC, and Mary MacDonell.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Geico a subrogee of Kim Summers: Property claim for damage to vehicle in the amount of $2,233.23. Insurer claims that insured’s car was damaged when tools fell off a County vehicle on the freeway.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Enterprise Rent-A-Car: Property claim for damage to vehicle in the amount of $980.94. Rental car company claims a County employee damaged a rental car.

Milestone Diversified Group LLC.: Personal claim for non-issuance of permits in the amount of $20,000. Business owner claims his business was damaged when DCD failed to issue building permits.

Mary MacDonell: Property claim for lost personal belongings in an amount between $7,000 and $10,000. Claimant alleges that her personal belongings were lost while she was at CCRMC.
