RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #76-589-1 with Michelle Tsou, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $380,000, to provide podiatry services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers, for the period August 1, 2018 through July 31, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On July 18, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-589, with Michelle Tsou, M.D. to provide podiatry services including, clinic coverage, consultation, training, and medical and/or surgical procedures at CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from August 1, 2017 through July 31, 2018.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #76-589-1 will allow the contractor to continue to provide podiatry services at CCRMC and Health Centers through July 31, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring podiatry services at CCRMC and Health Centers will not have access to the contractor’s services.
