RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Health Service Director, a purchase order amendment with Proline Window Coverings, LLC, to increase the payment limit by $99,000 to a new payment limit of $198,000 for window coverings, curtain replacement and repairs at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers with no change in the term of February 1, 2018 through January 31, 2019.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Hospital Enterprise Fund I budget.
BACKGROUND:
Proline Window Covering, LLC replaces, repairs, and installs all blinds, shades, and other window coverings at the CCRMC and Health Centers. The state inspector has mandated repairs, changes, and upgrades, which the vendor has done. It is necessary to add money to the purchase order to be able to pay the vendor for all the new and unanticipated work.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the purchase order is not approved, CCRMC window coverings will not receive proper maintenance, which is a valuable asset for patients care.
