RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #74-108-15(4) with Arman Danielyan, M.D., Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $180,000, to provide Medi-Cal specialty mental health services for the period from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 50% by Federal Medi-Cal and 50% by State Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In November 2016, the County Administrator approved and Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #74-108-15(3), with Arman Danielyan, M.D., Inc., for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018 to provide Medi-Cal specialty mental health services.

Approval of Contract #74-108-15(4) will allow the contractor to continue to provide mental health services through June 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, services provided to Contra Costa Mental Health Plan Medi-Cal beneficiaries could be negatively impacted in areas such as: access to services, choice of providers, cultural competency, language capacity, geographical locations of service providers, and waiting lists.
