RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator, or designee, to execute a contract with the City of Richmond to permit the County Department of Information Technology to provide radio communications maintenance services to the Richmond Police Department at the rate of $128 per hour plus the cost of any materials and equipment, for the period July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019

FISCAL IMPACT:

Revenue for the DoIT's Telecommunications division.

BACKGROUND:

The County Department of Information Technology's (DoIT) Telecommunications Division will provide the City of Richmond Police Department with professional telecommunications and related services. Upon request, DoIT will provide radio programming services for the City Police Department's radio equipment and service dispatch consoles at the rate of $128 per hour, plus the cost of any materials and required equipment.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Reduced revenue for the radio division, which could increase labor costs.
