RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Health Services Director, a purchase order with OmniPro, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $1,742,500 for purchase of custom computers, monitors, laptops, printers, scanners, and other hardware parts and accessories for the period September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% funding is included in the Hospital Enterprise Fund I budget.

BACKGROUND:

Health Services Department Information Technology Unit currently owns custom build systems, laptops, monitors, printers and other related hardware parts. These personal computer systems are custom configured and designed to fit for multiple Health Services' divisions/programs including the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers, Mental Health, Public Health, Contra Costa Health Plan, Environmental Health, Medical Records, mobile clinics, school-based clinics, and the Office of the Director/Finance. OmniPro provided hardware has a 5-year warranty on parts, labor, imaging, and asset tagging.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If additional equipment is not approved, Health Services Department could be impacted on productivity, which includes providing patient care at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers and other divisions/programs. Furthermore, the CCLink Electronic Health Record System will not be able to perform at optimum rate.
