RECOMMENDATION(S):

DENY claims filed by Patricia Boege, Jane Doe 1, Jane Doe 2, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Co. of San Francisco, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company, Anne Hancock, and Timothy Thompson-Cook. DENY amended claim filed by Khlood Salah; and DENY late claim filed by Yekaterina Ramirez.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Patricia Boege – Property claim for broken window in the amount of $300. Claimant called 911 because of a medical emergency and complains that responding fire fighters broke a window to gain access to her house to provide medical attention.   
Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 – Personal injury claims in the amount of $5,000,000 apiece alleging sexual assault by deputy sheriff while claimants were inmates in county jail.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company of San Francisco – Property claim for damage to vehicle in the amount of $325.67. Rental car company claims a County employee rented one of its cars and damaged it.  
Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company of San Francisco – Property claim for damage to vehicle in the amount of $2,821.98. Rental car company claims a County employee rented one of its cars and damaged it.  
Anne Hancock – Claim for punitive damages and refund of court fees in the amount of $4350. Claimant alleges that the Contra Costa County Superior Court mishandled her probate matter.  
Timothy Thompson-Cook – Personal injury claim by former employee alleging wrongful termination and whistle-blower retaliation causing emotional distress damages in excess of $10,000.  
Khlood Salah – Personal injury claim for emotional distress and attorney fees in the amount of $10,000. Claimant alleges that misconduct by a County employee caused her child to be taken away from her in a dependency matter.  
Yekaterina Ramirez – Request that Board of Supervisors accept a late claim. Claimant requests leave to file a late claim alleging that misconduct by a County employee caused her child to be taken away from her in a dependency matter.
