RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #23-628 with Groupware Technology, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $136,400 to provide consulting and technical assistance for data migration to the Health Service Department’s Information Technology Unit Data Center for the period May 8, 2018 through December 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #23-628, the contractor will provide consulting and technical services to design and implement the migration of data to the new data center located at 2380 Bisso Lane, Concord. Duties will include documenting, testing and executing the methodology (through assessment, design, deployment, validation and knowledge transfer) for the migration of Virtual Machine Workloads for the period May 8, 2018 through December 31, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Health Services Information Technology Unit will not have access to the contractor’s services and will be unable to migrate data to the new data center.
