RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #28-556-23 with the City of Martinez, a government agency, to provide congregate meal services for County’s Senior Nutrition Program for the period July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, with a three-month automatic extension through September 30, 2019.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The agency will pay the County the voluntary contributions it receives from participating seniors, after it has paid its authorized expenses. No County funds are required.
BACKGROUND:
This contract meets the social needs of the County’s population by providing an average of 25 congregate meals per day, five days per week for senior citizens at the Martinez Senior Citizens Center.
