RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-742-7 with National Research Corporation (dba NRC Picker), a corporation, effective May 1, 2018, to amend Contract #26-724-6 to increase the payment limit by $5,000, from $150,000 to a new payment limit of $155,000 with no change in the original term of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On July 18, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-742-6, with National Research Corporation (dba NRC Picker) to provide consulting and technical assistance to increase patient satisfaction through measurement and improvement surveys at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers, for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-742-7 will allow the contractor to provide transition discharge calling program services to conform to Medicaid 1115 Waiver Program requirements through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, County will not be able to provide transition discharge calling program services to patients and will not meet Medicaid 1115 Waiver Program requirements.
