RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23-591-1 with Archer Business Solutions, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $281,700, to provide consulting, system planning, project management and implementation support, for the Department’s Information Systems Unit for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 21, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-591 with Archer Business Solutions, LLC, for the provision of consulting, technical support, training, and project management for the Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #23-591-1 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide consulting, training, technical support and project management services to the Department’s Information Systems Unit through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, County will not have access to Contractor’s expert technical assistance, support and optimization skills to the Department's Information Systems Unit.
