RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-364-12 with Margaret Thayer, Ph.D., an individual, effective May 3, 2017, to amend Contract #26-364-11, to increase the payment limit by $22,000, from $210,000 to a new payment limit of $232,000, with no change in the original term of June 1, 2015 through May 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On July 7, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-364-11 with Margaret Thayer, Ph.D., for the provision of neuropsychological and geropsychological testing services and group therapy sessions at Contra Costa Regional Medical and Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from June 1, 2015 through May 31, 2018.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-364-12 will allow the Contractor to provide additional neuropsychological and geropsychological testing services and group therapy sessions at CCRMC, through May 31, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring neuropsychological and geropsychological testing services will not have access to Contractor’s services.
