RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-574-3 with Chenoa Information Services, Inc., a Corporation, effective April 1, 2017, to increase the payment limit by $882,720 from $200,000 to a new payment limit of $1,082,720, and extend the term from June 30, 2017 through June 30, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In August 2015, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23-574 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #23-574-1 and #23-574-2), with Chenoa Information Services, Inc., to provide qualified, contract to hire and/or direct placement candidates for hard to fill positions in the Health Services Department Information Systems Unit, for the period from August 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017. Approval of Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-574-3 will allow the Contractor to continue providing qualified, contract to hire and/or direct placement candidates for hard to fill positions in the Health Services Department Information Systems Unit, through June 30, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this extension is not approved, Contractor will not be able to continue to fill positions in the Health Service Department's Information Systems Unit and positions would remain vacant.
