RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 22086 to cancel one (1) Accounting Technician (JD7A) (represented) vacant position #16746 at salary plan and grade 3RX 1236 ($3,925-$5,013) and add one (1) Account Clerk-Experienced Level position (JDVC) (represented) a salary plan and grade 3RH 0755 ($3,192-$3,958) in the Sheriff's Office - Administrative Services Division.

FISCAL IMPACT:

An annual savings of $19,254 to the Office of the Sheriff General Fund and $3,464 savings in retirement cost.

BACKGROUND:

Due to a restructuring of duties within the Sheriff’s Fiscal Unit, the reduction of an Accounting Technician to an Account Clerk- Experienced will better align job functions with appropriate classification and provide a cost savings for other operational needs.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved this classification will be occupied by a higher level classification performing lower level duties which will result in a loss of fiscal savings.
