RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute the Temporary Surveys Permit with HJSCMB-Donovan, LLC, a California limited liability company, (Property Owners), effective June 21, 2016 through December 31, 2017, for the Kirker Pass Road Northbound Truck Lanes Project, Concord area. Project No. 0662-6R4052

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no impact to the General Fund. All funding comes from the project.

BACKGROUND:

The Contra Costa County (County) Public Works Department is required to conduct geotechnical surveys prior to design and during construction of the Kirker Pass Road Northbound Truck Lanes Project. It is necessary to conduct these surveys to identify the stability measurements of the property after the initial drilling operation is completed through the estimated end of construction. As a condition of the license, the Property Owners have required the County to indemnify the Property Owners.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The construction phase will not be able to move forward.
