RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #74-233-1 with Estelita Marquez-Floyd, MD, an individual, in an amount not to exceed $121,600 to provide outpatient psychiatric care services for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 50% Federal Financial Participation; 50% Mental Health Realignment.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #74-233-1 the Contractor will provide outpatient psychiatric care services, including diagnosing, counseling, evaluating, and providing medical and therapeutic treatment to children and adolescents in East County, for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s psychiatric care services.



CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

This program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community outcomes: “Children Ready For and Succeeding in School”; “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include an increase in positive social and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS).
