RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-566-2 with Huron Consulting Services, LLC, a limited liability company, effective June 1, 2016 to amend Contract #23-566 (as amended by #23-566-1), to increase the payment limit by $200,000, from $1,200,000 to a new payment limit of $1,400,000 and to extend the termination date from June 30, 2016 to June 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Amendment is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On July 8, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-566 (as amended by Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-566-1), with Huron Consulting Services, LLC for the provision of consulting, technical support, training, and project management for the Department’s Information Systems at Contra Costa County Health Services for the period from May 1, 2014 through June 30, 2016.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-566-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services to the Health Services Director, or designee, through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment/extension is not approved, the County will not be able to receive expanded services from this Contractor.
