RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #77-027 with Shobha Dental Inc., (dba Buchanan Dental), a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $150,000 to provide dentistry services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period from August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II.

BACKGROUND:

The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. Under Contract #77-027, the Contractor will provide dentistry services to CCHP members from August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
