RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #26-641-22 with Advanced Medical Personnel Services, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,200,000 to provide temporary therapists at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC) for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for this contract is 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase).

BACKGROUND:

On July 21, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-641-19 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-641-21) with Advanced Medical Personnel Services, Inc., for the period July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, to provide temporary therapists including speech, physical and occupational therapists at CCRMC. Approval of Contract #26-641-22 will allow the Contractor to continue providing temporary therapy services at CCRMC, through June 30, 2017. This contract includes a modification of the County Standard General Conditions, Paragraph 19 (Insurance).



CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring physical, occupational and speech therapists at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services.
